Let Claude make changes
Let Claude add notes, text and tasks for you, and work on your PDFs — in the background, while you carry on.
Turn it on
- Choose NotaBene ▸ Settings… and select Claude.
- Under Let Claude read your notes, turn on Let Claude make changes.
It stays off until you turn it on. If it is off and Claude tries to change something, nothing changes, and Claude is told where to turn it on.
What Claude can do
Claude adds to your notes, and never takes anything away — it does not delete, move or rewrite what is there. Ask it, for example, Remind me tomorrow at 9 to ask Lenka about the contract, or Add to the Aramark note that we don't want their ordering system.
- Make a note, with headings, lists, checklists and callouts.
- Add text to a note under a line with today's date — at the end, or at the end of the section under a heading. If the note is open, the text appears in it as you watch, your cursor stays where it was, and Edit ▸ Undo takes it back.
- Make a task, with a due date and time that remind you like any other task, a person and a priority — in the note you name, or in the note for new tasks (Settings ▸ Tasks).
- Tick a task off, set or clear a note's reminder, and add tags.
- Work on a PDF — highlight, comment, turn and reorder pages, fill in a form. See Claude and your PDFs.
Before making a note for something that may already have one — a client, a project — Claude is told to ask you first.
