Ask Claude about your notes
Ask Claude about what is in NotaBene, in your own words, and it answers from your notes.
Once Claude is connected (Connect Claude), ask it in the Claude app or in Claude Code — for example:
- What's the state of the property-rights question in the venue project?
- Which of my tasks are due this week, and which are Lenka's?
- What does the lease attached to the venue note say about notice?
- Summarise the comments I made on the contract PDF.
What Claude can read
- Your notes — Claude searches them the way the search field does, operators included, and reads a note's text, the names of its attachments, its recordings with their transcripts — so it can summarise a meeting you recorded (see Summarize a recording with Claude) — its tasks, its comments, the notes it links to and the notes that link to it.
- Tasks, people and notebooks — your tasks with their due dates, people and tags; the people tasks can be assigned to; your notebooks; and what you did lately, as Home's Recent shows it.
- PDFs — the text of a PDF attached to a note or to a task, page by page; a scanned PDF by the text NotaBene recognised in it. And every mark on it: each highlight, underline, strike-out, sticky note and drawing, with the words it covers, its comment and its author. A PDF form's fields and what is filled in.
- Pictures — a screenshot, a photo of a whiteboard, a scan: Claude sees the picture itself.
- Documents — a Word file, a spreadsheet, a table, an RTF or a text file, as its text.
Claude reads only notebooks you let it see (Connect Claude). Reading changes nothing in NotaBene.
